15 Malaysia (follow up)

In issue #2, TIS brings you the follow up of 15malaysia in the film-interview column.

TIS team manage to grab the time to interview Pete Teo on his latest film project, 15 Malaysia, which presents 15 socio-politically themed short films. Launched on the 17th August, 15malaysia is brought to you by Pete Teo and the team that brought you MAFU (Malaysian Artistes for Unity) last year.

In this interview during the KLue +5 event, we manage to do a short interview with Pete.

TIS: So far how has the response been for 15malaysia?

Pete Teo (PT) : It has been overwhelming. Having it to launch just 3 days ago, the viewership has almost a million hits!

TIS : Wow!! That's some huge numbers. So with this much of overwhelming feedbacks, we believe you must have been thru some problems along the way?

PT : Well, it's pretty easy actually. The arrangement and stuff is pretty consistent except for coordinating 15 films and aligning them to the consistency of quality. Apart from that, the challenge is the bandwidth, it feels like the whole country is knocking at your door, with so many views at a go, that's the main challenge for now.

TIS : Well, with all the going with film, how has music been for you?

PT : Its mainly film for me this year. But by the end of the year, I'll be back to the music scene, doing some film scores in Hong Kong pretty soon, but I'm still waiting for my studio to work on my new record.

TIS : Well, all the best to you Pete!

PT : Thanks! Vice versa, vice versa.
