In issue #1, TIS brings you the jamming studio 12 Records in the music-studio column.
12 Records, situated at Subang Jaya has a different twist to its place. Having it as a hub and platform for those who are getting into a band, to prominent bands like Bunkface, They Will Kill Us All, Car Crash Hearts, Ben's Bitches, Stonebay jamming at their studio, the management team, Madaan and Kevin Theng never seize to contribute to the indie community.
"One of the main reasons into creating this concept is to provide a platform for those who are in need of space to jam, providing them with infrastructure, good equipments with good pricing", explains Madaan. Kevin adds that they are also looking into starting musical classes on their grounds, "But not just any kind of typical music school you find every corner in town, but we are looking into providing current musicians in town, whether indie or mainstream, not only instilling musical knowledge but experience as well".They also provide other services like equipment rental, provides recording facilities, repairing instruments, a corner for just about anyone who would want to display their items or on consignment basis. These young lads are easy going yet ambitious in their own means. Having them both prominent musicians in the scene also helps with the mentality their instilling into their business. Rock on dudes!!
