In issue #1, TIS introduces Zan Azlee in the film-what's hot column.In this first issue of this column, TIS is featuring this young talented man, who's up and coming in the media/film industry. Zan Azlee, has a list of career under his belt. Being from a tv/film industry, Zan Azlee, has a list of career under his belt. Being from a tv/film director, to producer, videographer, writer (not just for screen, but also for print) are involved in journalism both broadcast and print. He's also a content developer for new media/internet, content consultant, mass-communication lecturer in a local university in Kuala Lumpur and last but no least he runs Fat Bidin Media. That's one whole list of an occupation what more time he has to run everything. Basically, he is a freelancer who does mostly anything and everything which is related to the journalism.
Having a strong journalism background, Zan started as a journalist at The Sun covering IT and lifestyle beats. He then ventured out to United Kingdom for his MA in broadcast journalism to widen his horizon in knowledge and experience. Having himself back in Kuala Lumpur after a couple of years abroad, he joins NTV7 as a broadcast journalist. The experience he gained in print and broadcast gave him unique view on the content industry. But he was still very active in his freelance video journalism, he joins Al-Jazeera in feeding socio-political and lifestyle video piece for Al-Jazeera. After all those hard work put into his work, Zan is now known for his title, "an award-wining freelance TV/film director, producer and writer".
